Meet the Newest Member of the Team

Hello my name is Puja Patel. I am a P3 student at Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. As an intern at a retail pharmacy,, I have always noticed a consistent pattern when it comes to discussing health; women are more open to speak about their health issues and medical concerns than men.. This creates a huge delay in treatment for some male patients since they may not be comfortable discussing symptoms.. As a future pharmacist, one of my goals is to open conversations for the male population and provide them with the necessary information on screenings,, when it is necessary to get tested for certain diseases and, which symptoms are associated with particular diseases, etc.. I also want to create a safe environment online where men can learn about their medications and understand why it is crucial to receive early screenings and checkups.. Men’s Health Unscripted is an outstanding resource for men of all ages to gain knowledge on men’s health and take action early on. I am extremely excited to partake in this journey in helping men become more confident in learning about their health and spreading awareness of diseases that are more prevalent in the male population..
